To avoid being sold to a wealthy businessman by her aunt, An Jing (the female lead), an orphan from a fallen family, takes a desperate gamble. She decides to use Qin Buxiao (the male lead), one of her aunt's lovers and the second-in-command of the most powerful gang in Hong Kong, to obtain funds for her studies abroad. She meticulously plans a scenario of a naive girl and a cunning wolf, successfully arousing Qin Buxiao's interest. Just as An Jing is about to escape unscathed, Qin Buxiao sees through her manipulation, cuts off her escape route, and forcibly keeps her by his side.
