Lin Peiyu is a dedicated research scientist who discovers her boyfriend, Su Jiming, has been cheating on her. Shortly after this painful revelation, Su Jiming is involved in a fatal car accident and dies. However, to Peiyu's absolute shock, he returns home very shortly after the incident, completely unharmed.
She quickly notices his behavior has entirely transformed. He goes from being distant and unfaithful to acting as a completely submissive, overly attentive, and flawless partner. Using her analytical instincts, Peiyu discovers the truth: her boyfriend's dead body has been taken over by a parasitic alien entity called Aser.
Instead of fleeing, Peiyu views this as an unprecedented scientific opportunity. She initiates a secret, reverse-observation study on the creature, aiming to tame and civilize the "little monster" into a beneficial asset for Earth. What she does not realize is that Aser has a hidden agenda. The entity is on Earth to retrieve a vital cosmic core fragment that Peiyu unknowingly swallowed a decade earlier, leading to a high-stakes game of domestic deception and scientific romance.
