The drama is adapted from the popular modern romance web novel titled 《京夜诱温》 (Jing Ye You Wen), which was written by the web author Li Xixi (梨溪溪) and published on the Tomato Novel (番茄小说) platform.
After a painful breakup, reporter Wen Zhi is heartbroken and vulnerable. One night, she mistakenly takes He Yanjin, a doctor, for the companion her best friend arranged for her, leading to an unexpected one-night encounter.
