Jiang Liaoliao is a struggling comedic livestreamer who is simply trying to make a living and keep her stomach full. She never expects to become entangled in the complicated family affairs of her boss, Ji Mingshuo.
To resist a family-arranged marriage and navigate the schemes surrounding him, Ji Mingshuo proposes a solution: the two sign a “fake blind date” contract. Jiang Liaoliao throws herself into the role, using her quick wit and comedic talent to put on a convincing act for the surveillance cameras and his family members, helping him fend off both open and hidden attacks along the way.
Although Ji Mingshuo always appears calm, composed, and restrained, he gradually finds himself falling for Jiang Liaoliao’s straightforward nature and innocent charm. What begins as a carefully planned performance slowly becomes something neither of them can control.
As their contract turns into a game of human nature, hidden motives, and exchanged interests, the line between acting and reality begins to blur. In the end, the relationship that started as an elaborate pretense reveals their most genuine feelings — and the seemingly untouchable boss ultimately becomes Jiang Liaoliao’s husband.
