The story tells of Sheng Yunlin, the regent princess of the Chen Dynasty, who was falsely accused of treason and perished in a fire, but is reborn to seek revenge. In this second life, she assumes the name of Yunfei, the third young lady of the Sheng family, and meticulously plots her revenge. In her carefully orchestrated scheme, the Grand Tutor Xie Fei, entangled with her in both past and present lives; the mysterious younger Feng Wuhen (played by Luo Maiyi), who fights for her with a sword; and the obsessive Emperor Chen Yu (played by Li Muyu), who is infatuated with his elder sister, all become her tools, vying to become her subjects. The complex relationship between the royal siblings is also complicated. How will Emperor Chen Yu, deeply in love with his "elder sister," treat his "replacement," the third young lady of the Sheng family? Even Feng Wuhen, the "little fanboy" she encounters in this life, seems to carry a heavy secret beneath his unconventional and carefree exterior.
