Navier is the Empress of the Eastern Empire. She is praised for her intelligence and for having an innate elegance. Her life as an empress is peaceful with her husband, Emperor Sovieshu. She doesn't love Sovieshu, but likes him as a friend and family member. They spent most of their time together when they were little and shared the same goal of creating a great country. Her relationship with her husband changes after he brings a runaway slave, Rashta, and she becomes his mistress. This breaks his promise to Navier that he will not have a concubine in his life.
Meanwhile, Prince Heinrey is the first heir to the throne of the Western Kingdom. His clan has a secret that they can transform into birds. He, who has transformed into a bird, travels to the palace of the Eastern Empire to spy. There, he meets Empress Navier and falls in love with her.
